Homecoming 2018 set for Oct. 13 vs. MSU

Looking for a reason to travel to Happy Valley this fall and get together with a few Skull Brothers? Look no further.

Penn State’s 2018 Homecoming game will take place on Saturday, Oct. 13 when Michigan State visits Happy Valley. The announcement was made on Tuesday, Jan 16. After playing the Homecoming game in November, the contest returns to October. This past season, the Homecoming game was played on Nov. 11 against Rutgers. The contest could be a key tilt in the Big Ten East. Michigan State upset Penn State, 27-24, last season. No doubt Penn State coach James Franklin will use that as motivator when the teams meet at Beaver Stadium in October. That loss bounced the Nittany Lions from the Big Ten title chase and the second loss eliminated any chance they had from making the College Football Playoff. Michigan State has won four of five against Penn State. In 2016, the Nittany Lions stomped MSU, 45-12, at Beaver Stadium. The Spartans haven’t won in Happy Valley since 2014.
